Trash in the Streets Can Make an Otherwise Beautiful Place an Eyesore

In today's society, it seems that many people are oblivious to what damage trash and litter left on the streets can do for the populace. Working for a road sweeper hire company, I know that we've been in demand more than ever over the last few years.
In the first place, rubbish on the streets can simply be an incredible eyesore for those that live in a city and for those that are visiting for only a short time. A city or neighborhood's efforts to beautify existing areas by planting shrubs and flowers can be greatly diminished by unsightly trash. Secondly, a proliferation of trash can also be taxing for the environment. Each generation seems to be more careless with wrappers and cans and such things as the one that came before. Finally, litter can become a health hazard if left untreated for a certain length of time. Problems with mice or rats can develop, and certain drainage can affect an area's sewage system. Thus, it is important that anyone who considers flipping a cigarette butt or fast food container out the window should think again. Although beauty is in the eye of the beholder, the more trash that piles up, the uglier a locale becomes.
