The internet has inspired me to improve my home and garden. There's no end of useful tips and pointers online - from blogs dedicated to gardening, to home and garden directories, to e-commerce sites, we're spoilt these days with the amount of information at our disposal to help us convert our homes from drab to fab.
My advice is to give your home and garden an "audit" - make a priority list of jobs that need doing. Some you can do on your own without buying anything, some you'll need to visit the local garden centre or DIY shop. Next up, have a look online and see if other people are in a similar position to you in regards to chores that need doing. You may save a lot of trouble and time by learning from others' mistakes, and so online research is vital before you actually embark on a project.
