Taking pictures is an important part of making memories last. And today there are a plethora of options available for snapping a picture. One doesn’t need to lug around a camera and camera bag to take a beautiful photograph, although I do always hire a portrait photographer in Berkshire for special hang-on-the-wall photos. My friend was visiting a Buddhist shrine, for instance, and took a picture of the front of the temple, the gardens, and meditation pools complete with swans and turtles, using just her cell phone. She sent the picture to me via email and I thought it was a post card she bought from the gift shop. The photograph was so clear and vivid that I thought it was taken by a professional. I saved the picture as the wall paper on my cell phone so that every time I call someone I am reminded of her and our friendship. I think taking pictures is important because it leaves a visual record. |

I play in a rather unique league - it's 4-a-side soccer - unisex too. It's no contact and BOY is it tiring. There's so much running around. Nobody really has a position except the goalie. With just 3 outfield players you do have to cover a lot of ground - but it's a great way to keep fit. The pitch regularly undergoes artificial pitch maintenance so it's always in good condition.
Since playing this league, I've noticed my fitness levels improve drastically. I know this because I was recently invited to play a 5-a-side game and couldn't believe how easy it was - while other players were doubled over in exhaustion after 20 minutes, I was wondering why I didn't have to run around so much! So it goes to show - sometimes if you partake in challenging sports, it pushes you that extra mile. Whoever invented 4-a-side soccer was pretty astute - if a little cruel! |

Summer season has just about set in. In my city, the weather is too hot...almost unbearable if you have to go out in the scorching sun's heat. But we should not waste time sitting in the home idle complaining about hot days. Rather we should try to enjoy it. As there is a lot of things that can only be enjoyed in summers. For one, the music festivals only occur in the summer. I love to get my festival camping gear and head out to one or two festivals during the summer season.
If that's not your bag, there are simpler pleasures to enjoy during this season. You can enjoy tasty fresh fruits that are only available in summers like sweet sweet mangoes. This yellow fruit is a blessing and gift of summers from god. Beautiful flowers bloom in summer season to add the beauty of summers. Cool soft drinks give very satisfying feeling when we enjoy them in hot days. They satisfy our thirst. Summers can be made more enjoyable by making picnic plans to seaside areas or any other cool water places. Swimming in cool water can be enjoyed. Hanging out with friends always makes everyone enjoy. So summer should be treated as a blessing rather that considering it as a problem because there are more good things in summer than bad things. |

When we were growing up, playing different games was our favorite occupations especially when we were not in school. Our parents allowed us to visit each other and to play, especially the outdoor games because these were the common games then. We would play foot ball, rugby, basketball and so many other ball games. We even went out to swim. Those days, cases of obesity amongst the children were very few. This is because every child was involved in outdoor games. Video games were unheard of. We even competed in many sport competitions and even though we did not have sport coaches, we performed very well because it is a thing we had learnt to do ever since we were little. We did not even need any sports psychologist because we could analyze our own performances and come up with great solutions for application in our later competitions. Life was very easy then. We did not need to earn much from these sports because life was not as costly as it is today and we could afford most of the things we needed. |

When I was a boy I took a big interest in fishing through a friend. I remember how my neighbor - who was a boy my age - got me into it. I jumped right in. Him and his father would go out two or three times a week with their rods and carp tackle and bass tackle. They would always invite me along. My father had a very demanding job, but always made time for our fishing trips. I was in a small town where the bass fishing was excellent. Heals Pond was the name of the the place I went most often. We would load a canoe on the top of this Ford Escort and off we would go. I can remember looking through Bass Pro magizines and picking out the boat I wanted. We would order lures and they would mail them to us. I learned alot, and now that I am a little older, I don't fish nearly as much, but when I do, I know what I'm doing. |
