Office Life , But Without the Hassle

I've just finished attending some prince2 courses, and although it's about project management, it got me thinking about all the inefficiencies in my company.

First you wake up at 6 in the morning to get in your car by 6:45. You drive to work, which naturally includes standing in a traffic jam for 30 minutes. When you arrive in the office, you realize that nobody bothered to refill the coffee container, so no coffee today. Why can't we change this? How about starting work at flexible hours. Avoid the rush-hour traffic. Get some groceries first. Arrive in the office at 9:30. Work until 19:30 and drive home relaxed, with the main daily groceries in the car, and without the traffic jam? When at work, the one thing that should reduce the work load is an efficient customer relations management software module. The amount of time spent looking up previous email, and including all the colleagues that might also have dealings with that specific customer costs our economy millions of dollars each year. By simply setting up a good email management system, this is time and money saved. And the employees are happy: They get to find the information they need, when they need it.
